NGC 7635<\/strong>, also known as the Bubble Nebula<\/strong>, Sharpless 162<\/strong>, or Caldwell 11<\/strong>, is an H\u00a0II region<\/a>[1]<\/a><\/sup> emission nebula<\/a> in the constellation Cassiopeia<\/a>. It lies close to the open cluster<\/a> Messier 52<\/a>. The “bubble” is created by the stellar wind<\/a> from a massive hot, 8.7[1]<\/a><\/sup> magnitude<\/a> young central star<\/a>, SAO 20575 (BD+60\u00b02522<\/a>).[7]<\/a><\/sup> The nebula is near a giant molecular cloud<\/a> which contains the expansion of the bubble nebula while itself being excited by the hot central star, causing it to glow.[7]<\/a><\/sup> It was discovered in November 1787 by William Herschel<\/a>.[5]<\/a><\/sup> The star BD+60\u00b02522 is thought to have a mass of about 44\u00a0M<\/var>\u2609<\/sub>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
